"Del Pajaro Las Dos Alas" (The Two Wings of the Bird) is a collection of poems in Spanish dedicated to Cuba and Puerto Rico. The author drew inspiration from a poem that the Cuban apostle Jose Marti, dedicated to Puerto Rico. The name of the poem by Jose Marti is, "De Un Pajaro Las Dos Alas". Having come in contact with the verses of a great poet, the imagination and deep feelings of the Puerto Rican poet Pilar Medina created this original collection of poems as a great homage to two Hispanic countries.
Both Caribbean islands have been close to not only by their proximity from one another, but also their culture, history, literature and by the works of great artists who have dedicated to them their best creations.
